The treatment consists of the "cleaning" or removal of the posterior lens capsule by Yag Laser.

We have Lasers for the treatment of eye diseases, including Green Diode Laser Supra from Quantel Medical, for the treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy.

In our specialized center we perform all kinds of laser procedures, among which are:

• Yag Laser Capsulotomy

• Yag Laser Iridotomy

• Retinal Pancreatic Coagulation

• Macular Photo Stimulation Micropulse Laser Diode

• Lasik and Prk surgery

Procedures we perform

Yag Laser Capsulotomy

Yag Laser Iridotomy

Iridotomy consists of the realization of a small hole in the periphery of the iris that allows to communicate the zone posterior to the previous zone, and thus, to balance the pressures between them.

Before performing the procedure, the size of the pupil with a medication is reduced. The laser is then applied by a lens directly onto the iris and a hole is formed through which the lens can be seen. The procedure is very safe.

Retinal Panphoto coagulation

It is a treatment to decrease the severity of diabetic retinopathy, vascular occlusions and neovascular glaucoma’s.

It consists of the use of a high precision laser with which your ophthalmologist closes (cauterizes) the abnormal blood vessels / extras present in the retina avoiding the excess of bleeding that can damage the same. This is an outpatient procedure.

It is worth mentioning that it is not a refractive process, but its purpose is to control abnormal blood vessels and avoid retinal detachment.

Refractive Surgery

Refractive surgery is a set of procedures that modify the anatomy of the eye, especially the cornea, definitively eliminating the refractive defects of myopia, farsightedness and astigmatism so that the use of glasses or contact lenses is not necessary.
